For some families, the service at the golf club on his usual Thursday is at the heart of their funeral plans. Others, it’s a small give-away by the family that transform the experience for mourners: her favourite mint humbugs, a slice of the seasonal Christmas cake, seeds for the garden.
On the day, we can help with digital tributes, service space dressing, a favourite route for the last journey, and displaying items on, or around, the coffin.
And even after the funeral, choosing what to do with ashes or creating memorials that leave a legacy are options we can explore.
